Nakhwanyàa’in geenjit shòh ìidìlii
Located in Old Crow, Chief Zzeh Gittlit is Yukon's northernmost school. It serves learners from Early Learning (K4) through Grade 12. Land-based, experiential learning is an important part of education, all students study the Gwich’in language, and take part in cultural activities.
Old Crow is a fly-in community north of the Arctic Circle near the junction of the Crow River with the Porcupine River.
Chief Zzeh Gittlit School is on the traditional territory of the self-governing Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation. We honour our responsibility to live and work in a good way on Gwich’in land.

A word from our Principal
Welcome to Chief Zzeh Gittlit School
Old Crow's students develop their Gwich'in language, culture, and traditional land-based skills while also achieving territorial curricular competencies. Such a rich learning experience is only possible through the shared vision and tremendous community partnerships that have developed over many years. Successful teaching and learning in Old Crow occurs when interpersonal relationships are strengthened and when local expertise plays a prominent role.
